The inaugural meeting of the Second Subcommittee on Safety Protection Devices (SAC/TC208/SC2) under the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Machinery Safety was held in Rugao, Jiangsu Province.

On December 23, 2025, the inaugural meeting of the Second Subcommittee on Safety Guards (SAC/TC208/SC2) under the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Machinery Safety was solemnly convened in Rugao, Jiangsu Province. The conference was hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial Administration for Market Regulation and the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Machinery Safety, organized by the Rugao Municipal Administration for Market Regulation and Rugao Packaging Food Machinery Co., Ltd., and co-organized by the Rugao Municipal People's Government and the Nantong Administration for Market Regulation. Over 60 attendees, including relevant leaders, committee members, and advisory representatives, participated in the meeting.

Leaders attending the inaugural meeting included Yin Minghan, former Deputy Director and Senior Inspector of the National Standardization Administration; Cheng Ruiqin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Rugao Municipal Party Committee, Vice Mayor, and Acting Mayor of Rugao; Tao Jian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Nantong Market Supervision Administration; Zhao Maocheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing Forestry University; Li Qin, Director of the National Technical Committee for Mechanical Safety Standardization; Gu Yujun, Vice Mayor of Rugao City; and Yang Yang, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone.

The meeting was chaired by Zhang Xiaofei, Secretary-General of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Machinery Safety. Cheng Ruiqin, Vice Mayor and Acting Mayor of Rugao Municipal Government, delivered the welcome address. Yin Minghan, former Deputy Director and Senior Inspector of the National Standardization Administration, read the approval notice from the National Standardization Administration regarding the composition plan for the Second Subcommittee on Safety Protection Devices (SAC/TC208/SC2) of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Machinery Safety. Attending leaders presented membership certificates to the committee members of this term.

Zhao Maocheng, Chairperson of the Second Subcommittee on Safety Protection Devices, and Shi Chuanming, Vice Chairperson of the Subcommittee and General Manager of Rugao Packaging Food Machinery Co., Ltd. (the secretariat unit), delivered speeches respectively. Wu Jian, Secretary-General of the Subcommittee, summarized the work of the first subcommittee and outlined the objectives and outlook for the second subcommittee. Attendees toured the on-site application products of safety protection devices at the Secretariat, Rugao Packaging Food Machinery Co., Ltd. (Nantong Wells Machinery Technology Co., Ltd.), and participated in an immersive demonstration. In the afternoon, all committee members engaged in standard discussions.

Nantong Wells has consistently dedicated itself to the application of mechanical safety protection devices in its products. The company participates in the development and revision of standards through the Standards Committee, having completed 12 national standards and 9 industry standards to date. In collaboration with Nanjing Forestry University, the company established the Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Research Institute. This institute has created a higher-level collaborative platform for subcommittee standard development and application seminars, playing a positive role in advancing standard formulation, scientific achievement transformation, and fostering a favorable development pattern characterized by “standard-led, innovation-driven, and multi-party win-win” outcomes.
